Jimmy Ginn

Jimmy Ginn brings a longstanding and proven entrepreneurial and research track record to UX Firm. As CEO of Usability Systems, Jimmy was in the forefront of advancing the profession by providing user research tools and laboratory facilities to academic institutions and Fortune 50 companies. When Usability Systems became Alucid Solutions, a user-research consultancy firm based in Atlanta, Jimmy served as Partner, CFO, Director of Business Affairs, and Usability Strategist.

Jimmy’s work also involves developing innovative collaborations with universities to facilitate corporate research partnerships with the commercial sector and increase awareness of user research.

With Georgia Institute of Technology, Jimmy served as Director of Corporate Research Partnerships. In this role, he was instrumental in collaborations with Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, CDC, McKesson, Intel Digital Health, Emory University School of Medicine, and other organizations.

Jimmy’s background, experience, and accomplishments include:

• Founder, Chief, Chief Financial Officer, Director of Business Affairs, and Partner in numerous entities and industries for more than 20 years
• Journal Administrator for the International Journal of Human-Computer Interaction, 2006-2008
• Assistant to the President of ACM SIGCHI, 2006-2008
• Co-author, with Jacko, J.A., and others (2008). “Reorganization of Visual Processing is Related to Eccentric Viewing in Macular Degeneration Patients,” Restorative Neurology and Neuroscience
